E Cigarettes is a health trend that is very similar to low carb diet trend. To explain this reasoning we need to look into the history of low carbohydrate diets.
Low Carb Diets became extremely popular in late 1990s and early 2000s. This trend is still very popular despite numerous controversies. Medical community, at least the majority of it, remain to this day opposed to low carbohydrate diets and do not consider them beneficial for long term health. Yet obesity has extreme adverse effects on health. It leads to reduced life span and greatly increases the likelihood of heart disease, certain types of cancer, diabetes, etc. When comparing the two many will go with “unfavorable low carb diets” that may or may not non-beneficial for long term health, instead of the deadly diseases caused by obesity.
This is very similar to e cigarettes. Real cigarettes can be deadly. Real cigarettes contain over 4000 poisonous substances. They cause cancer, heart disease, aneurysms, bronchitis, emphysema, and stroke. While an e cigarette is an electonic devide that does no have those dangerous substances. It only contains nicotine and that is only if you purchase a cartridge with nicotine. You can purchase a cartridge without nicotine and then you have absolutly none of the chemicals found in real cigarettes.
Even if some of the medical community says that e cigarettes are not tested and need to be researched BUT dangers of real cigarettes are well know. One cannot compare dangers of real cigarettes to e cigarettes.
If a person is not able to cut down or quit smoking by themselves, then wouldn’t it be better to use an e cigarette (despite the fact that it has not been tested) than to continue smoking real cigarettes and inhaling over 4,000 dangerous substances?
So which is better real cigarette which contains thousands of dangerous chemicals or e cigarette with none of those chemicals? You be the judge..
