Fat Loss 4 Idiots is a popular online dieting program.  Does it really work?

WHAT IS THE MAIN IDEA BEHIND THE DIET?

“Calorie shifting” is the central idea.   Calorie shifting basically means eating smaller meals but eating more meals throughout the day.  You get to eat 5-6 small meals versus 3 big ones.  In this way, they say, you don’t store new fat and you burn up the fat you currently store.

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots site points out how calorie shifting is different than traditional diets (low calorie, low fat, and low carb).  

Low calorie diets fail, they argue, because your metabolism slows down.  A slow metabolism makes fat loss impossible.

Low fat diets would work if people ate the same amount of the low fat product as the regular product – but often they end up eating more of the low fat version.

“Low carb” diets, they say, generate extreme cravings for carbs that most people are not able to follow the diet plan.
