<p>In nutrition <strong>diet food</strong> means, the quantity of foods &amp; drinks that have been prescribed to intake by a person as meal. Generally, we use the word <strong>diet food</strong> to identify the food by the following words: zero fat, no fat, fat free, zero calorie, low calorie, no sugar, sugar free, light food etc.</p>

Some <strong>diet plans</strong> like Atkins, South Beach etc., expressed that low-carb diet is the best. But studies shows, low carb diets can cause nutritional deficiencies, dehydration, fatigue; and extremely low carb-diet can result cholesterol levels and blood flow to heart.</p>
<p>Most of the prescribed or non-prescribed diets work great when anyone use them, but it may cause weight back when you are not with them or discontinue to use them regularly. In this case one should search <strong><a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);" href="http://www.1wallmart.com">diet foods</a></strong> or a <strong>diet meal plan</strong> which will give Long term result.</p>
<p>Instead, a <strong><a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);" href="http://www.1wallmart.com">healthy diet</a></strong> helps to maintain or improve physical condition. <strong>Healthy diet</strong> is essential for the avoidance of many chronic diseases such as: obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer. It includes appropriate amounts of all nutrients and sufficient amount of water. Nutrients can be obtained from different kinds foods, so a wide variety of diets that may regarded as healthy diets.</p>
<p>The micronutrients consist in a <strong>healthy diet</strong> are: Protein, Fat, Carbohydrate, Minerals (Salt, Potassium, Manganese, Calcium, Iron, Copper etc.) &amp; Vitamins. You cannot avoid any of the above things for your sound health.</p>
<p>Some Recommendations made by WHO is given below:</p>
<p> Maintain an Energy Balance &amp; a healthy weight Limit energy intake from any kinds of fats.  Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, legumes, whole grains and nuts Limit the intake of simple sugars Limit salt / sodium consumption from all sources and ensure that salt is iodized
<p>Other recommendations:</p>
<p> Take Vitamin or Food Supplement to ensure your health Use the <strong>diet meal plan</strong>/ <strong>dietary supplement</strong> that are prescribed by a nutrition specialist rather than a doctor. If you run a <strong>weight loss plan</strong> you must take instruction by a health &amp; nutrition specialist Include physical exercise or activity on regular basis at least four times in a week Keep a diary for your regular <strong>diet meal plan</strong> Make diets easier by supporting your friends and family members </p>

<p>The one problem that most single men have is, they never have a well stocked pantry. This can cause major problems. If you don&#8217;t have a stocked pantry, you are more likely to fill up on snack food or even worse, fast food. You need to make sure that you have a well stocked pantry so that you can cook healthy meals without much effort. Don&#8217;t know what kinds of things that you should always have on hand? Well, no need to worry about it anymore. We will give you a list of 20 items that are must haves for you pantry. </p>
<p> 1. Water his might sound silly, but always have some cold water on hand. Get yourself a pitcher or something that you can keep water in the ice box. </p>
<p> 2. Milk. You should always have some low fat milk on hand. Cereal in the morning is a great way to get a good easy meal. </p>
<p> 3. Fruit. Always have some fruit on hand. It is great for snacking. You can eat fruit and instead of potato chips. </p>
<p> 4. Carrots. These are great for snacking. Just add some low fat dip and you have a snack that will rival any deep fried snacks. </p>
<p> 5. Peanut butter. This is a great way to get some protein without having to worry about the fat. Use it on your toast for breakfast instead of butter. </p>
<p> 6. Eggs. You need these for baking and other specialties. Also they are great for a protein filled breakfast. </p>
<p> 7. Yogurt. This is great for hot summer days. You can make tons of drinks out of this. Also, it is great with chicken. You should learn a bit about Indian cooking for more ways to use yogurt. Indians love yogurt and eat it often. </p>
<p> 8. Butter. You shouldn&#8217;t suck on butter like you do a lollipop. But, butter is a must for baked goods. Also, fried eggs taste great cooked in butter. </p>
<p> 9. Lemons. These are a must if you eat a lot of seafood. Also, a cold glass of lemonade is great after a hard days work. </p>
<p> 10. Mayo. Don&#8217;t use this stuff every day. But, you do need to use some if you make tuna or chicken salad. It can also be great on low fat cuts of chicken and such. It is good on items that are dry. Make sure to buy the low fat kind and to use as little as possible. </p>
<p> 11. Mustard. I like to use this instead of mayo on sandwiches. It is a great way to knock out the fat. </p>
<p> 12. Cheese. This is a must have. Don&#8217;t eat too much of it. But, cheese is the beauty of life. It can make a dull dish come alive. </p>
<p> 13. Drinks. Always have some drinks on hand. Have some fruit juice, beer and sodas in the ice box. Don&#8217;t go over board with them, but have a beer from time to time as a treat. </p>
<p> 14. Fresh ginger. This will keep for a long time in your ice box. Don&#8217;t cover it or anything like that. Keep it whole in your ice box for best keeping. </p>
<p> 15. Bread. You should always have some bread on hand. Don&#8217;t go hog wild here on the carbs. A good sandwich is great from time to time. I would suggest that you find a local bakery and buy your bread there. Don&#8217;t buy that awful white stuff that has been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long. </p>
<p> 16. Canned veggies and fruits. When in a pinch, canned is better than none at all. Even though I suggest that you always eat fresh fruits and veggies, you should have some canned ones on hand. How do you know when you will have a craving for corn and not have any fresh on hand? Canned food can last a very long time, so you don&#8217;t have to eat it right away. </p>
<p> 17. Pasta. Want a meal in a minute? Pasta is the way to go. It cooks quickly and easily. </p>
<p> 18. Rice. Same as pasta. </p>
<p> 19. Spices and herbs. Always keep some of these on hand. Go to a place where you can buy them in bulk. Don&#8217;t buy those little containers in the store. Not only are they too expensive, but you don&#8217;t know how long they have been sitting there. When you buy from a place that sells bulk, you know that you will be getting fresh items. </p>
<p> 20. Cereal. Great for that last minute breakfast. <p><strong>The Past Offers Clues</strong><br />Think about how our ancestors ate, even just 100 years ago.  Whole grains, meats raised on the plains while eating grass, vegetables and fruits they grew without the use of chemicals and dairy products straight from the animal – unpasteurized and raw.  Processed foods had not yet been invented, and nearly no one was overweight.</p>
<p><strong>Why are We Fat?</strong><br />An increasing body of evidence points to the fact that the foods we eat are preprocessed and loaded with salt, unhealthy fats and sugar to entice us to overeat.  No matter what you put back into a food after it has been processed, your body doesn&#8217;t treat it the same way it does real, honest food.</p>
<p>Take grains, for example.  Whole grains have an outer layer that is filled with nutrients, fiber and healthy oils.  Those all spoil quickly.  As a result, manufacturers remove this outer layer and store the stripped grain or flour until they are ready.  Often the grain is sprayed with anti-fungal chemicals to prevent it from becoming contaminated.  Later, when it is time to sell the product, new nutrients are added, in chemical form.  Yes, that cereal is fortified – but with what?</p>
<p><strong>Sugar is the Main Culprit</strong><br />Sugar wreaks havoc on the body&#8217;s metabolism.  We are all aware of the fact that we should avoid simple sugars, since the insulin reaction they cause can create highs and lows in our energy.  What we don&#8217;t often realize is that sugar hides in many forms.  Even that whole wheat sandwich you are eating can cause a similar reaction.</p>
<p>When your body senses a surge in blood sugar, created by an influx of simple carbohydrates, for instance, it dumps insulin into the blood stream.  The insulin quickly removes the sugar and turns it into fat.  Of course, that causes the awful crash we are all familiar with.  In response, we eat more sugary foods.  Do you see the problem?</p>
<p><strong>What can we do?</strong><br />Your first goal should be to turn away from as many processed, sugar laden foods as you can.  It takes time, but start by turning your kitchen into an organic and healthy place to eat.  Search for organic produce, grass fed meats, raw milk products, whole organic eggs and poultry, wild caught fish and more.  Try a variety of whole grains such as quinoa, spelt, teff and brown rice – and always combine them with a source of healthy protein.   Get your calcium from dark, leafy vegetables, where it is more bio-available.</p>
<p>Finally, get the knowledge you need to redefine your relationship with what you are putting in your mouth.  This is a journey well worth making and it doesn&#8217;t require any <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.thedietsolutionprogram.com/">diet food plans</a> – just good common sense.</p>

<p><strong>HOW IS THE DIET DESIGNED?</strong></p>
<p>The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet is based on an approach called &#8220;calorie shifting&#8221;.   Calorie shifting distributes your daily intake of calories into smaller, more frequent meals.  You are asked to eat 5-6 smaller meals in place of 3 heavy ones.  In this way, they say, you don&#8217;t store new fat and you burn up the fat you currently store.</p>
<p>The site outlines how the calorie shifting approach is different than regular diets you may have tried (low fat, low carb, and low calorie).  </p>
<p>They say low-calorie doesn&#8217;t work because dramatically reducing your calorie intake causes your body to lower its metabolism.  With a slowed down metabolism, you cannot lose fat.</p>
<p>Low-fat diets fail, they say, because people end up eating more of the low-fat alternative than they would of the regular product.</p>
<p>And low-carb diets are not a good idea, they say, because they produce such strong cravings that it is very difficult to stick to the diet.</p>

Many of the fad diets promises quick weight loss, what they do not tell you is that they come with quick weight gain as well.</p>

<p>The reason this happens is because with many fad diets, you are required to eat so little calories or avoid an entire food group all together. I&#8217;m sure you know that you cannot last forever eating such low levels of calories or entirely avoid carbs or fats. A &#8216;lucky&#8217; few of us will reach our ideal weight and decide to stop the torturing diets, however many are not so lucky and have given up either in sheer frustration or have taken ill from the drastic diet change.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>This is where the nightmare begins. During the course of the diet, you eat so little calories that your body thinks you are starving. It then stores the limited supply it gets and goes into starvation or conservation mode. That is the same as avoiding carbs or fats altogether, your body will store whatever it can get. Think about it, if you are driving and you find the tank almost empty with the next gas station a few miles away. Commonsense will kick in and you will drive slowly and smoothly to conserve gas to make sure you make it to the gas station!</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Now your body is conserving its &#8216;gas&#8217; the calories you feed it, until it can get to the next meal. Once you stop dieting and eat at normal levels, your body will still be storing all the calories and carbs and not burning it for energy. That&#8217;s why the weight you had just lost comes flying back on.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>There is a more sensible and sustainable way to lose weight. Not to mention healthier and easier to stick to. It is called calorie shifting, where you shift the types of calories in your meals from one day to the next. Take note of the difference, calorie shifting is totally different from low-calorie. You do not limit the number of calories you eat but instead shifts the types calorie by eating different food. This way you will not feel hungry and miserable, your body gets its &#8216;gas&#8217; to function properly and you feel more energetic.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Calorie shifting helps you to lose weight not by starving yourself, but to keep your metabolism high in order for you to burn more fat at a faster rate. You also do not skip entire food groups depriving you of nutrients which is unhealthy, and<br />&#13;</p>
<p>will result in really bad rebound weight gain once you start eating normally. Treat your body better, lose weight but in a healthy way.</p>

<p>If I could show you a way to add something to your diet to reduce the anguish, you&#8217;d listen wouldn&#8217;t you? Well, here&#8217;s a simple tip I use with my clients yet easy way to crush your sweet cravings while keeping calories in check.</p>
<p>Your answer&#8230; Fresh Fruit and Berries</p>
<p>Yes, it&#8217;s as simple as the old switcheroo. In meals where you&#8217;d normally have some sweets such as ice cream or chocolate, instead indulge in nature&#8217;s dessert: Fresh fruits and berries.</p>
<p>More specifically, low-sugar, high fiber fruit. Berries are best, but other options like apples, grapefruit, kiwi, etc. are great too. Instead of polishing off an extra 500- 800 calories of empty calories, you can load up on these delicious, healthy snacks.</p>
<p>This caloric deficit will add up over time to help you lose weight fast. Losing weight at it&#8217;s very core, comes down to creating a caloric deficit. A caloric deficit is where the number of calories you take in (food, drink, whatever) is less than what you&#8217;re expending in a day.</p>
<p>When loading up on these fruits and berries, you&#8217;ll also get a nice dose of antioxidants- nutrients (and enzymes) that fight free radicals, which are charged molecules that roam around like rogues, causing muscle soreness and a whole host of other problems.</p>
<p>Here are some of my favorite fruits and berries:</p>

<p>Strawberries</p>
<p>Raspberries</p>

Here, you get to choose your food from a number of different groups. For example, you could select  pasta, rice, or potatoes from the starch group. The diet offers variety and you shouldn&#8217;t have any difficulty following it while you are on vacation. This diet plan also enables you to learn how to make healthy choices for yourself.   </p>
<p>Pre-packaged Meal Diet<br />
With pre-packaged meal diets, you have to buy food in pre-set portions. As a result, you are able to determine how much of a given food item you are allowed to have on a given day. However, such a program may be expensive and you don&#8217;t get the experience of selecting your own meals as the decision has been made on your behalf.</p>
<p>Formula Diet<br />
On a formula diet, you will be drinking your breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or a combination of the meals. These liquid formulas are often filled with proteins and carbohydrates and contain little fat. The formula diet is convenient and can be economical. However, while individuals may lose weight in the short-run, they may not be able to sustain the weight loss in the long-run.   </p>

<p>Everyone wants to get rid of unwanted body flab and look beautiful. In order to get a beach-ready body, women are willing to go to any extent. Weight loss treatments, diet pills, and fad diets have become the norm today. Unfortunately, everyone wants to lose weight fast that too without any pains. Fad diets such as Mediterranean diet and GM diet have all become very popular but these are very extreme diets that almost eliminate certain foods from the diet to attain fast weight loss. One such diet is the high protein, low carb diet. Most people are familiar with high protein diets that are nothing but disguised low carb diets. No matter what you call them, their sole aim is to cut down on carbs from your diet and replace them with foods rich in protein. As such, you are required to choose foods in a way that you get 30% to 50% of the total calories from protein alone. </p>
<p>The Atkins diet is a classic example of a high protein low carb diet though this diet has its own set of pros and cons. To understand them, you need to look at the way high protein diets work. In these diets, carbohydrates are restricted to such an extent that they are reduced to a mere fraction of that found in an average American diet. As a result, the body goes into a metabolic state called as ketosis that forces it to burn its own fat for fuel. Under normal circumstances, your body uses carbohydrates for fuel required for your brain, heart and other vital organs. However, when the body is in ketosis, it gets its energy from ketones, which are tiny carbon fragments formed after the breakdown of fat stores. While in this state, you are bound to feel less hungry and thus consume lesser food. </p>
<p>Once on the high protein, low carb diet, you transform your body from a carbohydrate-burning machine to a fat-burning machine. Thus, instead of consuming lots of carbohydrates and keeping your fat stores on your thighs, hips, and belly intact, you make fat as your primary source of energy. The purported result of such a diet is rapid fat loss and drastic reduction in your size. </p>
<p>Although ketosis does play a major role in weight loss, it also brings along a host of health problems. Your kidney is hugely impacted with a high protein diet. As a result, you may develop kidney disease at a very early age. High protein foods increase the cholesterol levels in your body putting you at a risk of cancer, stroke, and heart disease. You may also develop osteoporosis and kidney stones since the diet causes you to excrete more calcium than usual through the urine. By saying “no” to carbohydrate-containing foods, you also forbid yourself from consuming minerals, fiber, vitamins, and anti-oxidants they contain. This could put you at a risk of developing cancer. </p>
